Along with the shopping and transportation, there are many schools in the area for your children to attend.  The nearest public schools are P.S. 3, at 80 South Goff Avenue; P.S. 6, at 555 Page Avenue; P.S. 56, at 250 Kramer Avenue; I.S. 7, at 1270 Huguenot Avenue; and Tottenville High School, at 100 Luten Avenue.  The Catholic schools closest to the home are the St. Joseph/St. Thomas School, at 50 Maguire Avenue; Our Lady Star of the Sea, at 5411 Amboy Road; and St. Joseph by the Sea High School, at 5150 Hylan Boulevard.  There are a few other private schools in the area, such as Gateway Academy, at 200 Boscombe Avenue; Staten Island Montessori School, at 500 Butler Boulevard; and Yeshiva of Staten Island, at 1870 Drumgoole Road East.  These schools, while they may all be relatively close to the house, may not be the schools you child will be zoned for.  To obtain this information, you would have to contact your local public school.
