In 1970, Mayor Lindsay announced a proposal for the City’s first large-scale planned-unit development. This development, known as Village Greens, was originally planned to consist of nine “villages” of looped, one-way streets, which would be occupied by townhouses. For reasons unknown, possibly due to financial constraints, the community was built with fewer “villages” than expected. But that wasn’t the case with this particular development, which is what makes this area so unique. While the remaining streets may not be included in the community, they still have their own wonderful features and are just as beautiful as the Village Greens.

One of the streets intended for the Village Greens community was Rolling Hill Green. On this street, you will find many beautiful houses, such as 40 Rolling Hill Green. Spectacularly, this spacious end-unit has just gone up for sale.
As you approach the house, you will find parking on the street, as well as the carport. Around the house, you will find a lovely side yard leading to the backyard. Once you enter the house, you will find yourself in a hallway beside two large closets. To your right,
Arden Heights is on the South Shore of Staten Island and is comprised of mostly small communities. The main communities here are Village Greens and Aspen Knolls. Most of the homes in this neighborhood is comprised of townhouses, however, there are a number of condos, semi-detached and detached houses as well.
The two top sales for this neighborhood are both single-family new construction that were built in 2011 on Presentation Circle. These new construction homes were built with slightly less than two thousand square feet of interior space. The most notable sale was at 115 Presentation Circle for $495,025 in November. This home has just below thirty-five hundred square feet of property, which is quite larger than the other homes built on the same block. The second sale was at 117 Presentation Circle for $476,574 in November. This home has a little over nineteen hundred square feet of property. This sold for less since the property size is smaller than it is at 115 Presentation Circle.
The lowest price sale in this area was a single-family home in the Aspen Knolls community. In November, 235 Aspen Knolls Way was sold for $256,500. This home was newly constructed in 2000 on five hundred square feet of property and has just above thirteen hundred square feet of interior living space.
